This lager was brewed as a tribute to our new location – Dūmų fabrikas (smoke factory). It’s an old historic warehouse that will soon be converted to our new brewery, taproom and event venue. The building is located on Dūmų street (Smoke street) in Naujoji Vilnia area, in the outskirts of Vilnius. The neighbourhood is well known for being one of the pre war Vilnius industrial centres. To this day some parts of it look like one of the Peaky Blinders shooting locations.
This pale lager was spiced up with a subtle portion of beechwood smoked german malt. It creates a slight smokiness on the nose. A small portion of Vienna malt creates a nice body to it.
We hopped this beer up with hefty amount of Bavarian Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, that impart this brew with vivid impressions of new-mown hay, sweet spices, and dried flowers.
