Beer and mead hybrid brewed with Tonka beans, cacao nibs and vanilla pods.

You’d be hard-pressed to characterize all braggots under one description, the array of braggots are nearly as wide as the number of homebrew styles. But the main thing to focus on – it’s made of grains and honey so it would be fair to say it’s some sort of cross-breed between mead and beer. This braggot was inspired by upcoming dark period of the year and the festive season. Due to the malt base our braggot is dark in colour and rich in coffe and chocolate flavours. Lithuanian honey brings up the alcohol content and can be detected on the nose and in the aftertaste of this brew. Festive obligates us to create something really smelly and unique. Thats why we used vanilla pods, cacao nibs and tonka beans in the secondary fermentation.
